Come Play With Me is proud to announce the launch of its new course, “Music History Overview” for homeschool students in the Birmingham area.
T or Th, 1-2:30p September 3-December 12
This 14-week class meets once a week (two different days available) and covers the development of music, both in Western and world music. Prior music instruction is not required.
Homework will be assigned each class and expected to be completed by next class.
**Late registration (after start of course) is only accepted at discretion of the teacher.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- All classes and lessons are taught from our in-home studio just off of exit 252 on I-65.
Directions will be provided with registration confirmation. - Punctuality is expected. Late arrivals or missed classes/lessons will not receive refunds.
- Refunds for registration cancellations are
prorated by amount of time left before the course begins, less an administrative fee of 10% course cost. No refunds will be provided during the week preceding the course or after the course begins.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Playing the piano for 35 years and teaching for more than 25 years has given Kadie a solid foundation in music and education. She has continued to build on this foundation by earning degrees at all levels (B.A. through her pursuit of a PhD) in music and in education.
Additionally, as a homeschool graduate and the oldest of 10 children, Kadie understands the unique challenges and opportunities homeschool students and their families encounter daily.
Kadie brings a unique blend of traditional music instruction, mentoring, and creative exploration into each lesson and class to create a safe learning space which nurtures each student’s love of music and learning.
