- Come study music at the University of Montevallo’s Community School of Music!
- We teach private lessons on all instruments including piano, voice, guitar (classical and pick style), violin, trumpet, flute, French horn, trombone, clarinet, mandolin, ukulele, and organ.
- We accept students of all ages and abilities and are committed to providing exceptional music training at affordable rates from qualified instructors, including University faculty and staff members.
- All of our instructors are professional musicians who are actively performing and teaching music for a living. Most hold advanced music degrees and have many years of teaching and performing experience.
- Prices are affordable and we offer discounts to multiple students from the same family.
- CSM hosts recitals for our students during the Fall and Spring semesters. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable performance skills in a safe and professional environment. Family and friends are welcome to attend. There is no charge for attending any CSM recitals.
- Established in 1972, the Community School of Music provides quality music instruction at a reasonable price. Our commitment to that ideal stands today.
- CSM also hosts a no-charge Musicianship class for children between the ages of five to eleven years old. Visit the Musicianship page HERE.
- We welcome any questions or comments you have about our program and hope to see you studying with us in the near future!
- CSM is a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education. Explore more by visiting nationalguild.org.
